We both love Harry Potter and are very excited to share with you some Hogwarts inspired goodies this fall!
Gretchen:
I was lucky enough to grow up with the characters from the Harry Potter series, each book releasing around my summertime birthday, and each year longing for my own Hogwarts letter to come. I remember eating swiss miss cocoa packets hiding behind the couch with the first few books, and the chocolatey smudges pages make me laugh remembering how enthralled I was. Ever since then I've loved listening to Jim Dale read them aloud on tape every fall.
Kaleigh:
I discovered Harry Potter when I was 20. My college roommate was blown away that I had never read the series and immediately handed over her Harry Potter and the Sorcerers Stone book that she read as a kid. She allowed me to take it home over Thanksgiving Break if I promised to return it. Hesitantly at first, and then very quickly, I devoured the book in a week and came back to school ready for the next one. That winter I studied abroad in Nepal and read each one by headlamp in my homestay house. Once I finished one I'd travel through the unknown city to bookstores to find the next one taking Harry, Ron and Hermione with me to the far reaches of the other side of the world.
