Three Leaves Co Collaboration

Tell us about yourself!
My name is Annmarie, I'm a 30 year old creative living in Colorado with my partner!  I work with marginalized communities full time and run Three Leaves Co. on the side.

2. What are your three favorite things to do outside?
I love hiking and exploring new places.  Since we moved here, we've been chasing as many waterfalls as we can find, exploring all of the canyons, and I am (slowly) learning how to climb and trying to get over my apparently significant fear of exposure.

3. Tell us about Three Leaves Co. How has it adapted and changed as you have?
Three Leaves Co. began as an outdoor inspired clothing brand.  Over time, and through my work with marginalized communities, I noticed a significant lack of authenticity, self love, and self care across the board - in my professional life, across the accounts I followed online, in my personal life, the list goes on.  I was learning how to listen to my body and my mind after neglecting both for years, and wanted to encourage others to do the same.  I began creating natural body and spirit care products to foster peace and healing.  The product line expanded into bath care, aromatherapy blends, body salves, tarot readings, and beyond.  Through this process, I've even obtained my Reiki I and II certification and am now an active practitioner, and working on obtaining my Reiki Master training.  As time has gone on, I've found that in remaining authentic to myself, I have never been able to be one singular thing with one singular label that fits into a box, if that makes sense.  So I have worked to open Three Leaves Co. into a brand that includes a little bit of everything!  Clothing, accessories, body care, spirit care, home goods, the list goes on, and will keep expanding!
3. How did you get into herbalism?

I started learning about herbs and oils back in 2014.  I have slowly branched out into different methods of healing, such as Reiki, Chakra Healing, and Crystal Healing.  I have taken classes and obtained certifications in Reiki, Chakra Healing, and Crystal Healing.  I have taken courses on aromatherapy and the safety of using essential oils properly, and I have a whole library of books on herbal medicine and the proper use of plants for healing.
4. Best advice you've ever been given as an outdoorswoman/creative?
Don't let anyone tell you you have to fit into a specific box, or brand, or type of person/athlete/creative.  For the longest time I thought I had to be one thing until I realized I could be whatever I wanted.  I think the idea of branding and social media makes us feel like we have to be this one thing.  "Entrepreneur" or "outdoorsperson" or "photographer" or whatever.  I think you can be everything.  An advocate, a photographer, a writer, an embroiderer, an outdoorsperson, an introvert with an incredible group of friends, a bookworm, a yogi - be everything and anything you want to be!
